GM did some "tricks" with the intercooler on their Syclone/Typhoon before a
test run (packed it with ice).
Another, easier solution to get increased cooling out of your intercooler
would be a fine spray of water onto the front of the intercooler when under
boost (would be real neat to to tie this in to a manifold pressure sensor to
make this happen automatically). The evaporative effect should be quite
impressive, especially if you use a highly evaporative liquid like alcohol
(yes, flammable, corrosive, etc.--hey, its only $$$ in exchange for power,
right?) Someone mentioned using the windshield washer container for the
supply here--can't do that here (we need the windshield washers too much
here) but the "intensive washer" system reservoir (whatever it is) might
work. and some companies have kits for this, too (saw one advertised for
RVs/Trucks)
