Wee guys (and gals),

Had a great (well interesting anyway) experience today.  Was travelling west on
161 in Columbus at about 45mph (limit is 50) traffic backed up on the other side
of the road for about 2 miles.  Someone decides that turning left into the
traffic would be cool - lady in a brite red saturn or sumthin like it.  I hit
the brakes - abs kicks in - start to head for the ditch (on purpose) but it
feels like I'm on gravel al of a sudden - lost some braking ability.  I was
triying to modulate when I should just hit the brakes as hard as possible - I
got the brake warning light (damn shot bomb!!).  Well, I only just went off the
road - no harm done but I'm still shaking.  A large truck dirver (truck was
large) yelled as I went by (following the elledged lady) "nice going" - I will
assume he wasn't being sarcastic!!

Hope this doesn't happen again soon - but the moral of the story is:  Get the
bloody bomb fixed and attend a safety seminar!!  I'm not a learned driver by any
means but WILL be - this is one of those areas that the wife WILL agree or
else.... :-)
