Re: Electrical help: fuse 4
out of curiosity, did this begin with hitting a bump or pothole, taking down
the instrument lights and a bunch of stuff while you were driving? check
your dash cigarette lighter--not the wiring or any such thing, just the
lighter itself. the heater element screws onto the handle--which means it
can also unscrew. and they do. then it drops down into the lighter
receptacle, shorting out the hot center to the ground. BTDT, killed 2 extra
fuses then went to the dealer. they thought a computer went bad (it showed
bad on the diagnostics), got all set to replace it, then found this lighter
problem.
