Mo'Clunk
Well, with typical perversity (FINE car, NICE car...) my front end
clunk has returned. I've put the car up on the jack and shaken the
bejeezuz out of both front wheels, and it doesn't seem to be anything
directly connected to the wheels.
Last time, I found loose bolts on the sway bar and on the RF bottom
strut connection to the sub-frame - but they're all tight.
I have looked at the sub-frame bolts/mounts and they don't seem to be
loose. Ditto the motor mounts, altho I haven't taken a crowbar to
them.
But the clunk continues - I can feel it around my feet while driving
- and it's slightly more persistent, often appearing on both
acceleration and deceleration at low speeds.
What am I missing??? Gotta be something I'm not seeing - or haven't
thought of. I WILL check the bolts on top of the struts this
weekend, but that seems unlikely to cause a clunk felt so far back
under the car.
TIA, friends.
