As I recall the '86 -'88 944T are 217hp and the '88 944TS and '89 944T are
247hp.  I never drove an early version but I did drive a one year old 5000
mile '89 944T and it is just plain fast. Its an awesome car.  I remember
after the drive mentally comparing that car to my '84 911 Carrera and the
944T accelerated faster and its brakes were phenomenal.  Not wanting to piss
off any Audi gods I won't even venture a comparison to the urQ. Enough said.
Damn, maybe I should have bought that 944T????
