As of today I'd guess that the current US supply is 25+ cars. I've located
or received postings (and verified with dealer) on about 8 cars (none fit my
profile). After having read all the postings on A4Q 1.8T vs. S6 I'm not sure
if I really want or need an S6. Only need a personal conveyance, just back
and forth to work, with a trunk able to hold golf clubs, all out of sight.
I tried to get a deal going with Schaumberg but the dollar difference was too
great. It was a volume deal - get rid of several cars ('83 TQC, '84 911 and
the '89 200Q wagon). I don't feel like paying for the retail - wholesale
discount three times so I'm in the process of selling the cars personally.
Until they go I'm not going to worry about which replacement vehicle I get.
If it takes a long time to sell them and there are no S6s left - so be it.
