Re: 91 Audi radio



I remember reading somewhere that 'early' security code systems can be
reset by putting the radio head unit in a deep freezer overnight (don't
laugh!). Apparently, the cold erases the EPROM that holds the code,
enabling you to enter a new one. Modern units are supposed to be much
tougher to crack, so clever thieves have devised a computer program for
cracking the code by connecting the unit to a laptop. Oh well...
