Re: D&W nomenclature

Hi Ian,

I can't comment on the type of your Audi, but 'bis' means 'up to' and 'ab'
means 'from' If you've any more questions on German you can mail me. I'm
from Holland and therefore am subjected to a lot of German (they're our
neighbours). Reading a few German magazines taght me a basic knowledge of
technical German as well.

You're right about the parts, BTW. They seem to have omitted parts numbers
on quite a lot of them though...:-)

Bye, Tom.

Hey sportsfans, I just got a copy of the '96 D&W catalog. Other than the
obvious "wish it were in English" parochial attitude I have, there are
two questions I have. BTW, it is _full_ of great, um, parts, yeah,
that's it.

First, parts are frequently listed by type for Audi, so what Type is my
1990 Coupe Quattro 20v? I suspect it is a Type 89, but I'm not sure.

Second, years are important in the listing, but is "bis" before and "ab"
after?

Thinking of a quick Berlitz course,
