Audi 90 Quattro

Good morning Audi lovers.  I am hoping you can help me a
little (big ??) problem I have.

I have a 1989 Audi 90 Q, and it I think the 2nd. gear syncro
 is going.  What is the best (least expensive) rout to
take??

1. live with it?
2. Have the trans. rebuild, or buy a rebuild trans. ?? 
3. Buy a second hand trans. and take a chance with it being
in good condition??
