I think what you are talking about it's call 'cloning'. It is illegal to get
phone clone in the US. The way it works is by changing one of the 2 phones'
ESN or electronic serial number to be the same as the other one. This how
people steal cellular service from another person cell phones. They get a
hold a ESN from another person's phone and use the ESN on their phone.
One of the common way of doing it is buy a device that trap ESN and cell
numbers. This device basically trap any cell phones signal and display
both the ESN and cell number. If you have your cell phone on and drive
pass one of this device then your number is trap by it.
