CQ Door Handle Sticks

Hey experts, I'm having another of those damnedest problems, to wit:
When the outside air temp is *HOT*, like over 90 deg., my driver's
outside door handle refuses to open the door. Passenger's side works
fine, albeit embarrassing (Audi Gods revenge for lack of recent tithe?),
and when it's cool out, driver's side works fine. Also, if I open it
from the inside once, about 50% of the time I can open it from the
outside. Kind of sucks going for lunch, not being able to get in to go,
and not being sure if it'll work to return to work. Now for the foolish
question: any ideas?
