90CQ shocks

re: shocks for 90 CQ (assuming 1989-91?)

Some one replied that the Boge TurboGas had been panned on this
list. Hmm, I just put them in, based on the feedback of this
list. Shows that we all wee what we are looking for, I guess.

Well, in any event, I DID put 4 TurboGas in my 1991 90q20v.
I also replaced bump stops, dust shields and strut-top
bearing/bushings for the front only.

My initial reaction is very favorable. Much better control,
particularly up front. Little height increase (maybe 1/4"
to 3/8"), quieter, and the ride is hardly compromnised at all.
I appear to get "something for nothing" here. Note that my
extensive evaluation involved driving from the shop to
my office this morning.

Note also that my 90q20v has the 25mm lowered (factory) suspension.
Maybe all Coupes and 20Vs did, I really don;t know.

In any event, I would strongly consider these for street use.
Maybe on the track the better control of the Koni's (reputed, anyway)
would be worth the extra impact harshness.
