My mechanic recently discouraged me (actually my old man) from buying a
black/black '91 200 in Dallas.  This guy is an Audi trained mechanic who
otherwise loves these cars.  Turns out it was a serious lemon that had spent
weeks in his shop with recurrent electrical problems.  They wanted $8k.
Dunno if it is the same car (it WAS an automatic btw), but at that price I'd
be suspicious.
