Service Information
Hi!
My name ia Ian Gregory, and I live in Nottingham, England. I am the proud
owner of a 1988 90 quattro 4 door with 142,000 miles under its belt. I
love this car, and will eventually replace it with a 90 S2 Coupe when funds
allow.
My question is as to the availability of workshop digrams, parts list etc.
in the UK?
I have found over the two years that I have owned the car that the UK Audi
dealerships are little short of useless. This has finally led me to take
on the task of servicing and maintaining the car myself. As this is the
first fuel injected car I have ever owned I would like the aid of a good
workshop manual, unfortunatly the Haynes range of manuals in the UK (which
are fantastic) do not cover the quattro models and I have been unable to
locate any others. My local dealer tells me that even Audi do not produce
a workshop manual at all but they use Microfiche films which are supplied
to them from Audi. Is there any way I can get hold of an 'Electronic' copy
of these for the UK spec 90 saloon and coupe models? I also need the
wiring or circit diagrams as my car is getting a little long in the tooth
and I am starting to get annoying intermittent electrical problems. If I
had these I should be able to work out most problems, and be able to quote
the part numbers to my dealership for prices. Any Ideas? I have been
looking around the net for hours with no luck.
Thanks
Ian G
