Anybody know how much refrigerant these cars require? I had one place say
could get it up to snuff for $100. I had another place say they could do it for
$54.95 + 1-3 lbs. refrigerant @ $43/lb.
So that's either $100 or $97.95-$183.95.
This should be a no-brainer, but the place with the huge range is about a 10
minute bike ride to work after I drop the car off, the other place would probably
take an hour and a half.

3 lbs will max it following evacuation. They MUST evacuate the system or problems
might develop (e.g., moisture in the system could ruin seals, etc.).

$43/lb seems EXTREMELY high to me; I had mine recently recharged and the freon was
only $22/lb...
