Good news and bad news on the surging V8

Good news:

Our mechanic has offered to buy our Audi V8 for £9250 (GBP).

Bad news:

The £800 we spent on fuel rails and regulator has not cured the surging.  This has got our Audi mechanic annoyed with Audi since they said this was necessary to reduce the fuel pressure back to 4 bar.  It is now even higher at 6.4 bar!  Audi are due to come back to us and tell us why their technical advice was wrong - I'll let you know what they say.

We are probably going to replace the V8 with another 200q which we have found to be far more dependable.
