A/C condensor [repost]

Anyone experienced in condensor repair and testing?

Just finished tig welding a crack in my a/c condensor and
I was wondering what is the max pressure I should test it to.
I will be using an argon tank with a regulator capable
of supplying 400 psi. 

Does the condenser see the full 250 psi during operation?
Is it safe to apply 250 psi at the condensor fill valve
while the condensor is in the car?
How about the evaporator and accumulator?
Is the diagram in the Bentley on page 87.20 for 84-88 5000s
accurate with respect to high and low pressure?
