I think the thread on the hub got stripped rather the rotor. There is really no
threads on the rotors. Most Audis' rotors ride on top of the hubs. Did you
watch them when they were doing the installation? I only take it to places which
use torque wrench to tighten, if they don't have one I insist them to use my
torque wrench and 17mm socket that I carry around in my trunk. It takes
probably at least 95ft/lbs to strip the threads on those lug nuts, the
recommended torque is 80/81ft/lbs.
