'87 Climate Control Question

Hello,

In my '87 5KCSTQW the climate control system is getting, has been 
somewhat erratic. Surprised? Anyway, I get Econ, Bilev and Auto through 
the top and low vents only and not through the dash vents now though 
occasionally it will come back on through these for Econ and Auto. This 
is for AC operation btw.

I am thinking it is an erratic AC programer but before I attempt to pull 
it out I thought I'd inquire of the list. I suspect this has been 
discussed before so I apologize in advance (AIA) if this is too boring a 
question. Couldnn't find specifics in the archives.
