Tire skittishness, clutch pedal noises
I'm here to tell you, unequivocally, that tire skittishness has nothing to do
with wheelbase. On my 5kcstq, I just replaced Conti CH51's with Dunlop
D60A2's and *now* I have skittishness on steel grate bridges whereas I did
*not* have it before. Obviously the wheelbase of my car did not change. The
things that did chang are: - tread pattern
- tire size (from 195-65-15 to 205-60-15)
- alignment (done a few days before tires).
I believe it was the tread pattern. Just my $.02 worth.
As for clicking clutches... Mine does it too and the sound is coming from
inside the car under the dash. Right where the clutch pedal pivot point
is...
