FWIW this is dealer-speak (otherwise known as bullsh**):
MTM of Germany modify the 1.8T motor and add 137hp, approved by the factory
and in New Zealand supported by full factory warranty. They pointedly did
not modify anything in the motor because the standard motor is well specced
to handle this power and they wanted to retain factory support.
NOTHING in the drivetrain of the 286hp car is different except for suspension
setup.
