'84 5k wagon 4-sale

Hello all. I suspect you saw my earlier post about the dead automatic
transmission in our 1984 5000S wagon. After much thought, I'd like to try
and sell it rather than fix it. The thought of bench-pressing an AT in and
out from under a jacked up car doesn't appeal to me anymore. When I was a
body builder and could do reps with 300 lb., it didn't bother me. Now that
I'm a wimp, I really don't want to do it.

That said, other than the dead AT, it is a great looking and driving car.
The particulars:

- Approximately 130k miles (dead odometer at 117k miles near the start of 1996)
- Dark blue with the hood, two front fenders, and roof recently repainted
(to get rid of rock chips)
- Beige "leatherette" interior in great shape with only one tear in the
driver side bolster (about 3" and not through to the pad
- TSW Stealth 15 x 7 wheels with 4 new tires (Dunlop and Continental)
- New windshield (due to rock incident mentioned)
- Euro headlights with 100w lamps
- Air box modification
- New cat back exhaust, modified to delete mid-muffler
- 4ks quattro header and down pipe in box ready to install
- Rebuilt ps rack
- Recharged AC
- New PS hose
- Too, too much work/parts replaced in its history by the dealer to type here!
- New metal master deluxe front brake pads
- New dealer installed amplified roof mounted antenna
- New Boge turbo gas front shocks
- 5000cs turbo rear light panel
- Newer battery

Known non-good stuff:

- Dead bomb
- Odometer dead
- Right rear window powers down but not up
- Broken exhaust manifold studs
- Brake pad light always on
- memory seat function is non-functioning

Like all Audi owners, we've dumped a ton of cash into this car, with no hope
of getting it out. Anyone looking for a great looking, reliable (once you
fix the AT) parts hauling machine? I'm open to any serious offers.

I may end up parting it out, if I find a 5kcstq wagon and switch the Euro
lights over. BTW, this is probably the quickest NA AT 5k wagon you'll find
(again, once the AT is fixed or converted to a 5 speed).
