A DIN format radio head should "fit" in an A4's opening - that's how they do
it in the UK and several other markets.  As Don Masi points out, you have to
conjure up some kind of spacer to fill out the gaps laft and right.  Even the
UK solution looks cheezy.

Is the stock radio really such a bad beginning for modifications?  Or to put
it a different way, would the money you plan to spend on the new Sony head
unit not go a lot further if you spent it on speakers, an auxulliary
amplifier, and so on?
