I am very sensitive to this subject...you see, my brother crashed his 95 S6
at a combined 120mph three months ago. He unexplicably
entered the other oncoming lane on a dark night in heavy rain (we speculate
that he was making a cell call as he was late to see friends). He somehow
found himself 90 degrees to the oncoming traffic and was hit on the passenger
side. My brother's seat was THE ONLY survivable position in the car. There
was no front passenger seat or rear seat left! My brother received no
physical damage except for a broken collar bone from the seat belt retraction
with the resulting g forces. However, he did sustain a severe head injury
(brain injury). I am happy to say that the doctors say he should make a full
recovery, but it will take probably 2 years. So...I CAN attest to the strength
of an Audi. There would be no worse way to be hit...or weaker position of the
car to be hit. I still have my brother...that car saved his life...
