'87 5KCSTQW Clutch Hydraulics Question?

Hello.

In my '87 5KCSTQW, I find it is sometimes hard to get into first and also 
reverse - not always - but sometimes particularly after I've been 
driving in stop-and-go, shift-alot traffic. When I start up it's usually 
fine, btw.

Onne mechanic said it might have something to do with clutch hydraulics. 
Any thoughts? The level of fluid is fine and the clutch has a very tight 
feel to it - not mushy at all. Also, recently checked tranny oil - clean 
and full.

Anyway, if you have any thoughts about a fix, I'd appreciate hearing them.
