It's the locking lever on the cylinder that turns to engage the doorlock.
There is an upgraded part out that doesn't break as much :-)
It can be done yourself with patience. There is a lot in the archives
about the procedure (pulling the door panel and the lock, then replacing
the cylinder), or you can pay someone else to do it. That was my choice.
