Re: broken door lock

Hi again, 
just ran into a small problem with my 89 90q.
Put the key in the driver door to lock it, and the key turns 
either 
direction, but nothing happens. Anyone seen this before? 
Simple fix, or 
no? Let me guess, no...............

Sounds like you broke one of the plastic clips on actuating 
rods connecting key cylinder to door lock.  Means popping 
the door lining off, and possibly replacing the clip (if you 
can find one...).  Most likely you'll have to replace 
whatever the clip was anchored to, either door handle or 
lock mechanism.
