i won't go close enough to spit on the floor of a tire shop unless they use     
a Coats, Corgi or some other machine that removes the tire without touching     
the rim.  barely painted steel wheels from an ol chebby pickemup are fine       
on the ancient curb grinders.  there is no reason to touch the clearcoat with   
the "newer style" machines (which have been around for, what, 10 or 20 years?)
