RE: Anyone used BOGEs?
It totally depends on how you are going to use it. The Boges are good for
street use but dont tend to hold up very long. I have the Boges and they are
already fairly soft after 15000 miles. DO NOT do anything except the turbo
gas as the pro gas are basically oem. If I were to do it again I would not do
anything except the Koni's. Koni's are much more perfomance oriented. DO NOT
base your decision on what is in stock. If you have to wait a week for what
you want than do it. This is a major decision that will shape your decisions
later on and should not be made on the basis of what is in stock.
BTW. Bilstien does not make a rear shock for the 4kq so nobody will have
them.

I'm in the process of buying new struts for my 86 4000 csq, and have been
running into difficulty finding Bilstiens here in Seattle. I found BOGE's at
Bow-Wow, and went ahead with them.
I'm trying to find out if any of my fellow Q-Listers have used them, and what
their experiences were. I had KYBs before, but they didn't last more than 30
000 miles and I always found the ride quality to be poor.
I'm picking up the BOGEs tomorrow, so it's too late to change for now, but
any input and info you guys can share is appreciated.
TIA. Larry Smierciak
