That they have been building the 911 for 30+ years has also got to count toward the reliability factor.
Today's 911 is a brand-new, very well debugged and built antique car...... the ur-q is orders of magnitude more complicated and most in the US were of the very first years of manufacture to boot.
The ur-q is but a mere child!
