I just started to have problems with my Check engine light coming on. It
will not stay on, just flicker on and off. It seems to do it during sitting
in traffic and with a hot engine. I plugged a fuse in the fuel pump relay
to get the codes and all it dumped on me was this : 3 short blips, pause, 1
blip, pause again, then the pattern just repeated. Any one please help.
I am really stumped here.

Man...what a coincidence! I JUST returned from dumping the fault codes from
my 90. I'm having the SAME problem you describe; the "check" light comes on
when the engine is hot, usually while sitting in traffic. The light then
goes away once engine temperature drops after the car gets moving again. I
retrieved the code "2312", which is for the ECU engine temp sensor and/or
the wiring to it...

Be sure you follow the recommendations for dumping the codes, which someone
posted. If you don't it EXACTLY right the codes will come out all wrong.

HTH!
