i wouldn't say that it's not possible. i guess the limiting factor
will be fwd traction and it would probably take a skilled driver
to pull it off. and forget about wet road performance.
the turbo implementation also has the bypass valve which allows it
to stay on boost more of the time, so in real world terms this
means extra speed.
the only thing that really rules it out for me is that all this grunt is
sent to the front wheels. totally irresponsible and reckless!

the only connection that i'm aware of is that the volvo I5 came from
their I6 which porsche had a hand in designing.
volvo's 5 is certainly inferior to the audi's in terms of refinement
and nowhere near as tough. for example, the cylinder sizes had to
be reduced so that the block could be beefed up to handle a turbo
suggesting that they are closer to the stress limits than the audi.
