Refinished gear knob

Fellow listers, just thought I'd pass along my experience.
Just got done refinishing (almost my gear knob).  REal easy job.
Get some stripper and follow the directions.  Don't forget to remove the 
plastic gear indicator :) with a simple flathead screwdriver.
I stained mine with and american walnut color.  SO far, after that I
am on my second coat of spray polyurethane and it looks beautiful.  I plan
on putting 1-2 more coats to give it a nice thick and full coat.  Now
if I could just figure out how to wash my water/soap stained headliner.
Any ideas on what to use?  Thanks all.
