5000CDQuattro Clutch sticking
Has any one had the problem where the clutch seems to stick intermittently.
First indication was the pedal stuck on the floor - had to lift it with the
toe (it worked ok after that for that day). Next it was found stuck to the
floor again, then this morning the clutch wouldn't disengage enough to let my
wife get the car in gear (another rule collary of course these failures always
happen when the spouse has the car and you are not home to see it). A quick
check tonight shows the peddle not stuck and the clutch disengages, engages
fine?? The hydraulic fluid resevoir seems to be a bit higher than normal (top
of full) but there are no drips on the garage floor etc.
Can anyone give me a response this evening (so I can get it fixed tommorrow)
on what this problem is and how to fix it ( or what part is about to fail
permanently). It seems I may have had this problem a couple of years ago but
I forget if there was any resolution then.
TIA
