RE: CPU controlled boost, 5000CS TQ boost
<snip>
The whole point is that lighting the "bad fool detected" light doesn't
prevent the detected bad fool from keeping his damnfool foot to the floor
and destroying the engine. In any event, the computer [hardware/software]
can(*) "modulate" the engine and keep it consistently right "on the hairy
edge" of max performance *much* better than any mere wetware system can
hope to match.
(*) Note I don't say "will", but the potential is there.

Good explanations! Thanks!
WRT fuel limitations, if this is a prollum it should be addressed, not covered up by reducing boost, if you are looking for performance.
WRT temps - it would be pretty tough to run at full boost for more than like 15 seconds anyway (in the US), even from a stand-still you' be ~=>100 MPH. 'Course these cars are designed and intended for Audibahn operation and not US 55/65 BS, so this would not be true where there are more reasonable/no speed limits.
WRT damnfool not lettin' up when things go non-linear - excellent point for the non-technically aware/inclined. 'Course the oil temp/pressure light/buzzer won't stop that damnfool either.....there's more'n one way to achieve Sudden Disintegration.....
THANKS!
