re: tune-up at 120k
I assume this is a 10V motor, not a 20v
The 10v motor is basically not an interference
motor, and since ti doesn;t really like to rev,
breaks less often. I have heard that they can interfere
at some angles, though. Your call - 120k is a lot of miles.
Every 30k I do the following to my '91 90q20v:
- plugs
- cap
- rotor
- air filter
- gas filter
My wires seem to last forever, but the wires on my '84
were good for 18-24 months. Again, your call.
Every 2 years / ~35k I change the brake fluid and coolant
Every 100k I change the diff/tranny fluid (ok, I've only
done it once so far, but that is "every 100k") :-)
What more do you want to know?
ps: oh, I lube everything that moves annually
with this aerosol stuff I buy from the dealer for
too much cash -- but it lasts forever. Wurth brand
somethingorother.
