V8 Surging

Owners of surging V8s may be interested to know that the guy who bought our V8 eventually got to the bottom of the surging problem.  Seemingly there is in interface between the ECU for the engine and the ECU for the gearbox.  There was a problem with one of the wires in this interface which was causing the gearbox to instruct the engine to alter the timing and causing the surging.

So if your still surging check it out and if that doesn't work then sell it.  Yes you'll miss many of the nice things about the car but if you're anything like us you won't miss the hassle.  The V8 was at the same time, the best and the worst car we ever owned.
