Chrome parts

Hi listmembers.

The chrome end of the exhaust pipe on the car is beginning to 
catch rust. Are there any commercial products that I can use to stop this
and regain the lost shine of the chrome ?

Also the area holding the muffler up is pretty rusted and looks like the 
muffler will come down any moment. Are there any adhesives (something that 
can withstand the high temperatures) that I can use to reinforce the area ?
