Andrew - we chatted about this a while back, and I think we decided 
that since the type 11 has a higher boiling point, it can be 
considered to be backwards-compatible for the earlier cars.  The 7.1 
should not be used in the type 11 applications for the same reason.

BUT - chances are that since everything efor the last 6+ years uhas 
used type 11, the dealer has exactly that in his/her/their clever 
little code-numbered can.

Or so it seemeth to me, ex cathedra my PC.....
