That would be "timing angle." Don't forget that the factory hot-tests most
engines and has to do an initial set-up at the time of build/installation.
It isn't uncommon in the industry for the manufacturer to make some
provisions for internal use that have no apparent purpose in the afterlife.
The two apparently unused pins could have a function at the time of
production that isn't apparent to the end user.
