Re: CB and Radar Detector combo
Hi, Jim!
Thank you very much for the good words, and the concern.

I made it home v-e-r-y c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y. I tried to keep the boost
negative at all times, reasoning that the vacuum would suck the duct tape
glued, whereas the positive manifold pressure woud blow it off. I was being
passed by the blonds in the tiny red jap coupes w/1600cc engines left and
right. At home I shut the engine off in front of the garage and as soon as
I've done it I knew what was gonna happen. "Oh shit!". Naturally, it did not
start again. Fortunately, my garage is 1/2 story deep so I just released the
clutch and rolled it in.
I have received a lot of mail on what to do. Thank you all very much, guys!
The dump valve is due tomorrow. Stay tuned.
P.S. You are absolutely right, a CB sure beats a radar, if I had to choose.
If only someone could teach me how to drag through that horrible mumble,
that passes for speech amoung the truckers! It ain't no Shakespearian,
that's for sure, excuse my language.
Hope to see you at the nearest Q club. :)
