Actually, the dimensions on the 4000q/coupeGT rad fans are dramatically
different. Much larger unit on 5cyl motors. I believe the original post was
lamenting a lost fan motor on a 4cyl 4000s, that's the only car to use that
primary electric/rubberband secondary setup. I've installed Rabbit fan motors
into these cars, which bolt right up, and sometimes the harness even matches.
You'll lose the secondary fan setup, but cooling effectiveness isn't
diminished....It can be a financial decision also, Rabbit fans are 15$ at a
junkyard(automotive recycler :) or pick up a new 4000s fan for 85$new if I
remember correctly...
