On a 5000 series??? Unless it's a restoration project, buy the 80$ tool and
change insert and bearings on the ground in 20mins. No spring compressor
required for this operation. 5000series struts are heavy and awkward to R&R,
don't go that route lest you have the need...I believe Scott J detailed the
procedure a while ago....
