4000csq fuel consumption

How does 425 miles sound on a tank of gas? Just did it and probably could have 
got 450 if I wouldn't  have laid on it so much.  

Anyway I was wondering if anyone has successfully fixed the trip computer so 
that I reads somewhere close to reality.  I have read in the Bentley that 
there is some sort of trim adjustment on the back of the panel but I dont know 
if this really works.  Will replacing the airmass sensor in the airbox help 
this.  

It seems that it reads ~ 6mpg low.
