Although I've made suggestions on this issue before, I should also note that I 
have removed battery several times on the 5K, 5KCSTQ, 100 and V8 as well as 
removed the Audi/Bose (Delta II) radio several times from the V8, as recently 
as last night, and never lost codes from power disconnect.  I believe there is 
a timer in the security circuit that holds the codes for some time before 
dropping them.
