PAP-good experience

Hi all,

Guess I'm in the minority here.
I had ordered a rebuilt (playing with fire here) hydraulic pump for my 87
5000s. The old one was leaking slowly and was melting the lower radiator
hose away with Pentosin. I'm not good enough with tools to even try a
hydraulic pump rebuild.

It was around $250 for the pump with $50 core charge. I got and had the
pump put in. Still running after nearly 2 years. It does make some noise
though.

Had the old core sitting in storage for a while while trying to sort out my
life. (Still working on that)

Sent it in to PAP with a different shipping address. Hope for the worst.

But Pow! Less than a month later, I get a mailing from PAP (forwarded) with
the slip for $50 credit to my charge card.


I've ordered tie rods and the pump from them. They've been O.K. Never tried
their specials though.
