German Spelling

For all of those wondering how to spell in German:

        If the word has an "EEE" sound (Bier)it's spelled "ie".
        If the word has an "I" sound (Wein) it's spelled "ei".

Note that Wein is a beverage, and Wien is the most beautiful city I've ever
had the pleasure to live in.  IMHO, once you uget used to it, German is a
much easier language to spell in than English.  The words are spelled (more
or less) exactly the way they sound.  English is much more confusing (i.e.
pear, pair, pare).  Admitedly though, trying to read a 30 letter juggernaut
of a word that you've never seen before is no picnic!
