Silly Stuff?

Hi All

I have a couple of questions regarding my '84urq (UK).  It has a "Check"
Button on the end of the Window Wiper Stalk, and I cannot fathom what it is
supposed to 'Check'?  Repeated pushing and or holding it in in all sorts of
different variations of engine running/ Not running/ moving/ Not moving
etc..etc.. result in nothing at all.  Anybody know what it does?  The
manual (Wich doesn't mention the "Check" Button at all) mentions two
features I don't seem to have.  Firstly, the Rear wiper is supposed to have
an intermittent mode and a wash/wipe mode.  Mine seems to be wash/wipe
only.  The Digital Rev Counter has an annoying two bar display mode on my
car, which makes it difficult to read IMO.  The "Manual" States that this
can be changed to a normall full line display by pushing the Trip Computer
Reset Button whils't in the "Range" mode.  Nothing happens.

Any ideas?  Silly problems I know, but can be annoying.  TIA.  :-)
