... I installed a Kenwood 4-output deck in my car last year. Like you, I
found the sound quality on the rear speakers to be unacceptable after simply
installing the deck in place of the OEM unit. What I did was to remove the
booster altogether and put the necessary jumper wires into the plugs that
were plugged into the booster. I guess that means I really have an 8-speaker
system, but that is fine by me ...
The jumper cables are made by simply creating either 2 or 4 short lengths
of wire with crimp-type spade blades of the proper width (procured at Radio
Shaft). I wish I had the wiring diagram here in fornt of me ... If you have
problems figuring it out let me know and I'll pull the rear seat to give you
more detail ...
