I should've said "mediocre". And I did not mean any insult to Dunlop D60s, 
they are probably closer to the top among the H-rated. 
Its just Dunlop SP8000 is light years ahead of them on the asphalt and 
Nokia NRW is so much better in the snow...

Also, I guess I am just used to the european habit of having two sets of 
dedicated rubber. When I lived on the other side of the Atlantic we had snow 
over 1m deep for 6 mos a year. At that time I drove RWD 4-speeds. Four good 
winter tires with 6 rows of carbide studs in each was a must if one wanted 
to get from point A to point Z without freezing to death (or burning his own 
car like my buddy once did when got stranded in the steppe overnite @-30°C).
